The tiles on the exterior of the house presented further problems. Some had suffered extensive salt damage as a result of damp. These had to be gently removed and soaked in distilled water to dissolve the salts, before any other restoration could be carried out. The restoration of Debenham was completed in 2004 and since then the house has played host to many public events and appeared in several television and film productions. It is a truly beautiful house and I have to admit that I am very proud of having been part of its restoration.
